Completely forgot about this thing.
To sum things up:
-French boyfriend (Il s'appelles Aymeric).
-Apartment in Aix-en-Provence.
-38 out of 42 points on my progress report!
-Visited the states for Christmas break.
-Speaking French pretty damn well.
-Won't return to the USA til June or July.
-Hair is growing. Great process to watch.
-Have read "No Exit" by Sartre and "The Outsider" by Camus. Cried at the end of the Outsider. Two GREAT books.
-Finished my first art piece for the IB. Finally.
-Have two roomates: one is German, one is French.
-Will begin writing a book with French boyfriend about caves and multiple personalities. Very excited.
-Can see Mt. St. Victoire from my balcony. Wake up to it every morning.
I feel like I'm missing something. I mean, after how long of not updating, I'm sure this small list doesn't cover shit. If you have questions, ask. It'll be good for my memory. I'll have to do some creative writing soon. I've been having a lot of ideas lately. I feel like I'm really tired all of the time. How are all of you?

3 words on the subject:
- Never heard the name Aymeric, but I dig it. Good on you, either way.
- How's Provence? Do any traveling around there?
- 38 of 42 sounds pretty good. Bleh. I've got to start actually fretting over grades, myself. I've never given a shit for grades in my entire life, but they've also never had any meaning whatsoever.
- Belated Merry Christmas and such.
- I've pledged to get up to French 4 level so I can test into Gail's class at TCC next session. Hopefully the weight of my efforts and my luck will be as great as yours.
- Cutting my hair regularly, strangely enough. Hell, I even shave ('cept for my pseudo-'stache; I'm sick of mangling my lip mole). Pah. "Professionalism".
- L'etranger is one of my favorites. Period. I have Huis Clos lying around somewhere.
- Art for the Baccalaureate? Well, I'm ignorant to the whole thing, so my surprise shouldn't really be too great here. I'd blather and inquire, but I have class in... pretty damn soon, bah gawd. Good luck, either way.
- I take it you all speak French? Well, good luck with that, too. Just in case you feel like picking up some German, try ielanguages.com
- Caves and... wait, two books? One book? Fiction? Again, good luck.
- FUUUUURIOUS JEALOUSY. I wake up to a highway and a middle school every... late afternoon. Ah, I'm sure I'll miss it when I'm gone, but you've got a good set-up, it seems.
In any case, I wish you luck with your creative writing. Haven't written in Godknowshowdamnedlong, and I've had a free year. Hopefully I'll get back to it in Paris.
Hey Karen, I wanted to let you know I'm really enjoying your blog.
I don't know if it is an age thing or if there is just a time in a person's life when they have to take responsibility for their own growth if they are going to continue to grow at all but it certainly seems to be a trend among us ex-TSASians right now.
I'm happy for you because things seem to be going so well, this is kind of the experience I'm hoping for when I move next year.
Good luck at school and keep us updated on your blog
Is your skull going to collapse when you return to Okie country?
